About The Event
In 1936 local farmer Bob Hayden started salvaging and storing parts of demolished historic structures when he bought the old Sandwich Academy building for one dollar. Over decades, Hayden accumulated massive piles of salvaged material and entire structures, turning the sprawling site into a quasi-museum and salvage yard.
Come hear about the buildings and historic structures saved within this complex known as the "Cotuit Disneyland", which was located at the now Marstons Mills shopping center.
The presentation is preceeded by a short Society meeting.
